Summary

Our team facilitated Gazprom School in developing a solution that improves customer experience with their services. We implemented an informative website and a customer-facing app with role-based logic. The app provides different education management functionality for three categories of users, namely parents, students, and app guests. 

Challenges

The customer wanted to provide their clients with rich functionality. They also wanted to develop an interconnected system involving a website and a mobile app. The platform had to securely store and process the data, as well as share it between different accounts. Finally, there was a challenge of creating a role-based logic for the platform. The customer wanted to provide different user groups with different feature sets. 

Solution

The combination of Node.js and Quasar helped us to develop a secure mobile app with complex role-based logic. We also used Cordova for cross-platform development. The app provides its users with the following features:

  • User classification by the three groups, namely students, parents, and guest users;
  • Smart notification system with news and announcements from Gazprom School;
  • Parent notifications for cases when a student has to visit a medical office due to injury or disease;
  • E-diary for students;
  • Interactive timetables and dynamic class schedules;
  • Student performance statistics;
  • Integration with the 1С system for connectivity with the website;
  • Information on education fees and payments.

We also used widely-applied website development technologies, such as WordPress and Bootstrap 4 to create a simple informative website for the customer. Its main features are: 

  • Information on school activities and services;
  • Dynamic schedule;
  • Online library;
  • Video classes;
  • The electronic queue for students;
  • Parents’ personal cabinets;
  • E-diaries;
  • Student statistics. 

Results

Gazprom School received a platform that significantly improves its customer service. The website and the app facilitate education management and increase customer satisfaction. With our website and mobile app, the customer gained a great range of benefits, including:

  • More than 30.000 online students using the Gazprom School platform;
  • Dozens of hosted events and workshops;
  • Enhanced student proficiency and education management.
